ANGIE GONZALEZ

Angie Gonzalez has been a clown for over 23 years, participating in church and community events, birthday parties, schools, libraries, store grand openings, hospitals, nursing homes and parades; and has a passion for clowning in third-world countries, such as Haiti and Honduras.  Q.T. Pie and KanDee Kares-A-Lot, Angie’s clown alter egos, love balloon sculpturing, face painting, simple gospel and silly magic, storytelling, puppetry and comedy sketches.  Most of all, she enjoys sharing God’s love through laughter, and clown ministry is her main focus.  She is a member of the World Clown Association, Clowns of America International, Fellowship of Christian Clowns, Fellowship of Christian Magicians, Red Nose Response; serves as Sargeant at Arms for the Midwest Clown Association; and is the founder and president of the Joyful Joeys 4 Jesus Clown Alley in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Angie now serves as director for TNT University, with the help of an amazing steering committee.  Angie has been teaching classes on the “Art of Clowning” for almost fifteen years and has graduated over 45 clowns in basic training, 10 of which are Spanish-speaking or bilingual.  She is married to Rei, a native of El Salvador, Central America, and has three stepchildren, Alex, Warner and Elizabeth, who have also embraced the joy of clowning.  Angie’s favorite scripture is Acts 20:24.  She likes The Message translation best:  “What matters most to me is to finish what God started: the job the Master Jesus gave me of letting everyone I meet know all about this incredibly extravagant generosity of God.”
